Rockstar Publicist, Thanks!

We were in the paper. We were on the radio. We were on television. We were on stage. 3/4 of those things couldn’t have happened without our incredible publicists, Lauren Rinker and Matt Harrington. I mean, check out our awesome coverage:

…And that’s not even half of it.

Lauren and Matt are BOTH available FOR HIRE in the River City. They are rockstars and we couldn’t have done this festival without them. Lauren lives in Richmond and is starting her career as a freelance writer and editor (AND rockstar publicist). Matt, too, in addition to being a rockstar publicist, is a freelance writer, media designer, bass guitar novice and long-suffering Bills/Sabres fan. We love them and you will too.

It’s a secret society. It’s improv. It’s an improvised secret society.

Even Dan Brown couldn’t make this up.

We are humbled to welcome Skull N’ Bones The Lodge to this year’s Richmond Improv Festival. Hailing from Washington D.C., The Lodge is an improvised long form show that took an oath to entertain you.  Founded on an audience suggestion, a secret society is born and the performers create a show exposing the secret rituals of this new society and the unwitting world waiting outside. They are gentlemen of the highest order.

Help be a part of the creation. See them perform LIVE at the RIF at CenterStage.

Friday, November 6th at 9PM.

Are you excited for the Danny Canoe Festival Debut? We are.

Danny Canoe (Dan Sipp, Anoushka Broad, Annie Zipper) is a brand new team of players who have improvised together for years. Based in North Carolina, Danny Canoe discovered a mutual love of scenes that swing wildly from silliness to social commentary and from realism to the cartoonish. Shows feature scenes that shift rapidly from character to character, in and out of strange situations, and more.

Dan says, “Our rehearsals are so much fun. We love cracking each other up, and we hope that translates to the audience. We want the audience to have as much fun as we’re having.” The trio have a combined 45 years of improv experience (WOW!) and have trained with The Second CityiO – ChicagoAnnoyance Theater, and with improv luminaries Paul Sills and Del Close. Watch Danny Canoe perform LIVE at the RIF.

Thursday November 5th, 8PM at Capital Alehouse.
